Body Fortress Vegan Protein Pancakes

Protein pancakes are a classic breakfast option for lifters, but many recipes use eggs or protein powders with animal additives. If you’re following a plant-based diet, here’s a tasty pancake dish that packs plenty of protein:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 scoops Body Fortress Complete Plant Protein (Chocolate or Vanilla)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup water + more as needed
  • Handful of your favorite walnuts

Directions:

  • Mix the flour, Complete Plant Protein, baking powder, and sea salt together in a bowl
  • Add the maple syrup, and then slowly mix in the water. It should be a little lumpy and thick. Add a little extra water if needed.
  • Add your favorite fruit or nuts to the mix and combine thoroughly
  • Pour slightly less than 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto a hot non-stick pan until bubbles appear in the center of each pancake
  • Cook 1 to 1 ½ minutes per side, or until light golden brown
